The Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Claude Giroux, the excited guy on the left, to a three-year, $11.25-million contract extension on Monday, allowing him to join the ranks of the team's very-well paid, along with teammates Daniel Briere, the excited guy in the center who is in the middle of an eight-year, $52-million contract, and Chris Pronger, the excited guy on the right who is in the middle of seven-year, $34.45-million contract. While Giroux is a decent player, the relatively huge contract along with the fact that the Flyers are right up against the salary cap make one wonder if general manager Paul Holmgren is doing a good job in Philly and if Jstar eff Carter, conveniently not available when the above love-in took place, will be back next season. The most likely scenario revealed at GetReal Hockey.
